A day in the life of a Backend/Full-Stack dev at Logmore

You'll be involved in the development of Logmore HQ (Logmore Cloud Platform). The HQ is both the brains and the beating heart of the Logmore service, so your work will be seen and felt by all our customers and users. 

Most of your tasks deal with our APIs and databases. You'll do things like add new endpoints to APIs, write tests and documentation for them, modify and optimize existing functions and even add totally new schemas and collections to databases. In the backend you will use the Go language and deal with stuff like MongoDB and Redis queues. 

Your work also intersects with some DevOps things. You will fluently use Docker containers and sometimes deal with CircleCI, Kubernetes and AWS. 

If you have the chops for it, we have a lot of work waiting to be done on the frontend as well. On that side our technologies include Vue.js and Laravel. 

Obviously the work is not all coding, though. You'll start your day in the daily team meeting to sync things with other developers, and use Jira as your compass for development tasks. You will be involved in meetings and planning sessions to create specs for new features with developer colleagues as well as members of the Customer Success and Sales teams. In a fast growing company like Logmore, sometimes things change around very quickly, so good communications and problem solving skills are definitely needed.

• Strong communication skills in English and/or Finnish
• Strong experience working with and creating RESTful APIs
• Demonstrable experience with our core backend technologies: Go, MongoDB
• Familiarity with the other tech in our stack: Docker, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, CircleCI, Vue.js, Laravel
